A pinch-me moment. In this video, we took a trip to one of the northernmost cities in the world, Tromsø, Norway, also known as the Arctic’s capital. Not even cloud coverage, freezing temperatures, and a long drive could stop us on this tour from experiencing the stunning Northern Lights.

00:00This winter is the best time to see the Northern Lights until 2036.
00:03I traveled to Tromsø, the capital of the Arctic, and one of the northernmost cities in the world.
00:08And of course, one of the best places to see the Northern Lights.
00:10To increase your chances, take a tour.
00:11You usually start at sundown and begin with a long drive to a remote area.
00:15Our guide immediately started watching the radar for not just where the aurora was, but where there was no cloud coverage.
00:20Because the problem is, the aurora might be above us, but the clouds are the trickiest part.
00:24It took two stops, multiple hot chocolates, raising our absolute butts off.
00:27Patience is the key for these tours.
00:29One thing I didn't know is that it is difficult for the naked eye to see the Northern Lights, and the camera picks it up much better.
00:34After three hours, we finally saw something, but our guide was insistent that there was a better spot.
00:38And once we got there, we got to see not just the green line, but to see the lights dancing.
00:42A pinch me moment that made the entire tour worth it.
