00:00Billie Eilish goes off on Elon Musk, calls him pathetic, and a coward in scathing rant.
00:07Billie Eilish isn't holding back when it comes to her feelings about Elon Musk.
00:11The Birds of a Feather singer launched a scathing attack on the tech mogul
00:15in a series of fiery Instagram stories shared Thursday, November 13th.
00:20Her tirade began with a reshare of a post titled
00:23Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire.
00:26Here's what he could do with it.
00:27Which featured a photo of Musk looking contemplative.
00:31The subsequent slides outlined various global issues that Musk could tackle,
00:35detailing the financial resources required to address challenges like world hunger,
00:39saving endangered species, and rebuilding war-torn regions such as Gaza, Syria, and Ukraine.
00:46Eilish's final statement was a sharp rebuke,
00:49freaking pathetic and such a coward, written against an all-black background.
00:53The outspoken artist's comments followed her earlier criticism of billionaires,
00:58while accepting the Music Innovator Award at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards on October 29th.
01:04She expressed her belief that the world is in a dark place and emphasized the need for empathy and support.
01:10We're in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark,
01:15and people need empathy and help more than, kind of, ever, especially in our country.
01:20Eilish said, addressing a star-studded audience that included billionaire Mark Zuckerberg,
01:25Hailey Bieber, and Chris Rock.
01:28She continued,
01:29If you have money, it would be great to use it for good things.
01:32Maybe give it to some people that need it.
01:34Love you all, but there's a few people in here that have a lot more money than me.
01:37If you're a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?
01:40No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.
01:43Eilish is putting her own money where her mouth is,
01:46having committed a significant amount from her recent tour proceeds to social causes.
01:50I also have the privilege of breaking a little news tonight,
01:53said Stephen Colbert, who introduced Eilish at the event.
01:57Billie Eilish will be donating proceeds from her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour
02:01to support organizations, projects, and voices dedicated to food equity,
02:06climate justice, reducing carbon pollution, and combating the climate crisis.
02:10That donation, ladies and gentlemen, will be $11.5 million.
02:14That's wonderful.
02:15Billie, on behalf of Humans Everywhere, thank you.
