NAUGHTY LEOPARD CUB BITES MUM’S TAIL WHILE SHE CATCHES A KIP WITH PIX AND VID By Shuk Yee Tsang A playful leopard cub can’t resist nibbling on her mother’s tail while she tries to catch a nap. Pareet Shah, 46, a professional photographer from Kenya, captured this heartwarming sighting in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. Pareet has been photographing animals for decades, starting as a young boy exploring local National Parks with his family. He shared that spotting the cub play-fighting with its mother was magical, with cuddles and hugs following the mischievous tail-biting. Pareet said: “We were on a game drive looking for my favourite leopard, Kaboso, and knew she had a small cub. In a small clearing, we saw them together. “The mother wanted to rest, but the cub had other ideas, nibbling and playing with her tail. “They cuddled and hugged for ages, and it was amazing to witness this tender interaction in the wild. “Leopard cubs this small are usually hidden from predators like hyenas, lions, and baboons, so seeing them so playful is rare. “To us it may seem like play, but it’s also important training for the cub to grow into a skilled predator in the Savannah.” END
