00:09like, I just, yeah. Travis Kelsey says it was his idea to join Taylor Swift on stage at the
00:15Ares Tour. The NFL star recently made a surprise appearance during one of Swift's concerts at
00:20Wembley Stadium in London. Kelsey appeared alongside two of the superstar singer's dancers
00:24who bring Swift back to life and help her change costumes ahead of performing the song,
00:28I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, off her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
00:32During the season two finale of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelsey,
00:36the Kansas City Chief's tight end revealed how the moment came to be.
00:40Well, I initially mentioned it to Tay. I was like, how funny would it be
00:45if I just, like, rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989, like, you know, about that era.
00:53Here's how he says Swift reacted to his suggestion.
00:55She started laughing. She was like, would you, would you seriously be up for, like,
01:01doing something like that? And I was just like, are you, what?
01:04Uh, yeah.
01:05I would love to do that.
01:07And then things took off from there.
01:09I've seen the show enough. Might as well put me to work here.
01:13And sure enough, she, she found the perfect, perfect part of the show for me to come in.
01:19Kelsey said he joined during, quote, such a fun and playful part of the show,
01:22and that it was an absolute blast to be a part of it. However, he did have one rule for himself
01:27while performing.
01:28The one thing I told myself is do not drop the baby. Do not drop this.
01:35Do not drop Taylor.
01:37He also recalled the moment everyone realized it was him on stage.
01:41Surprise.
01:41When everyone found out that it was me, because it took a second for everybody to figure it out,
01:45and then they, they kind of put the camera on me, Cam and Jan, like the three of us coming,
01:50coming up to the, up the stage or on top of the stage.
01:53And, um, that moment was pretty like jarring. I was just like, oh.
01:57So can we expect Kelsey to make more onstage appearances during the remainder of Swift's tour?
02:02He said, who knows? It might not be the last time.
02:05You guys have to keep showing up to the heiress tour to see if I pop out of the stage.
