00:00People have a lot of preconceived notions about how you and Kieran are.
00:05Did you have any preconceived notions about him?
00:07And what was it like?
00:08Has anything surprised you about working with him?
00:10Yeah, a lot of things surprised me about working with Kieran.
00:12I thought, because we're both from New York and we speak in a kind of similar way,
00:16that we would be very similar in other aspects of our life.
00:18And it turns out we're similar in no other aspects of our life.
00:22You know, he is somebody who lives in this completely spontaneous way,
00:27living from moment to moment, never second-guessing himself.
00:29I'm somebody who hasn't lived in a moment in maybe 20 years.
00:33And maybe I was only in that moment 20 years ago accidentally.
00:38Or maybe I was missing some oxygen for a few minutes.
00:40And Kieran is just like somebody who from one thing to the next
00:43doesn't allow things to kind of fester in his mind.
00:48What did you bond over? What did you really have in common?
00:51Kieran and I, I would say, bonded over what this movie was.
00:56Like, the relationship we have is so fun and dynamic and fun to play
01:01that I think there was just a feeling all the time like we loved what each other was bringing to the other one.
01:07We felt like our connection and our rapport was so fun and singular
01:11and it felt original and real and also sad as well as happy as well as funny and also tragic.
01:16And to me, there's like no better way to bond with somebody than to really be acting with them.
01:22Absolutely. Well, congratulations on this.
01:24Also, this is the season where not only are we launching into a word season,
01:28but it's also the season, I think, of like comfort movies.
01:30What is your number one comfort movie like this time of year you put on repeat?
01:33Do you have one?
01:34Um, yeah, but I can't say it.
01:37Hi.
01:39I can tell you.
01:40Uh, what is my comfort movie?
01:42Um, yeah, you know, I love the movie Submarine.
01:44It was made by my friend Richard Aewade.
01:46I think it's just like a perfect movie.
01:47It's a coming-of-age story in England, in Wales.
01:49And, uh, it's just absolutely adorable and there's no other word for it than just totally warm.
01:56Yeah. I want to know what the other one was.
01:58I'll tell you, not in front of 45 cameras.
02:01Hey, fine. Sorry.
02:02Sorry, too. I'm sorry, too.
02:03Um, we are in the season of thanks.
02:06What are you most thankful for right now?
02:08Well, right now, at this exact moment, I'm so thankful to be involved, like, in this industry
02:13that has allowed me to have so many wonderful opportunities.
02:16And, uh, I pinch myself that I'm here, you know, probably like a lot of people here.
02:21I feel like I don't belong and I'm going to be outed as a fraud.
02:24You know, I'm sure a lot of actors will say the same thing.
02:27Um, and so I feel just incredibly grateful.
02:30My dad always tells me, you know, if you have two or three movies in your career,
02:33that audiences take to, uh, you should be so lucky.
02:37And I'm so happy that I got to make this movie and that people like it.
