Johor has stepped up this year's Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exam security by installing metal detectors at all 372 examination centres, says state executive councillor Aznan Tamin.
Aznan added that the use of metal detectors could extend to regular school days, pending discussions next year.
He also said reparations are also in place to ensure smooth exams during floods, and free meals for SPM candidates have begun statewide.
