My question is, in Negeri Sembilan,
00:02
in low schools, we have a shortage of about 350 students,
00:06
in middle schools, we have a shortage of about 450 students.
00:09
In total, we have a shortage of about 800 students since 2023.
00:12
Unfortunately, teachers in low schools in the outskirts of the city
00:16
do not have teachers who have been teaching for too long,
00:20
almost a year or more, and there are teachers who have been teaching for two years.
00:22
So, I want to know,
00:24
this is my question, Dato' Ibn Betul.
00:25
My question is,
00:27
how much has the number of teachers in Negeri Sembilan increased?
00:29
How much has the number of teachers in Negeri Sembilan increased?
00:31
In 2023, how much has the number of teachers in Negeri Sembilan increased?
00:33
In 2024, will there be at least an increase?
00:36
Dato' Ibn Betul,
00:37
the number of students who took SPM is 10,000.
00:41
Now, about floods,
00:42
it is true that I saluted the teachers after the study was done and so on.
00:46
But, Dato' Ibn Betul,
00:47
in Negeri Sembilan, I went to the flood area at the end of the week.
00:53
Mentally,
00:55
the thought of the students who want to take SPM is definitely not there, Dato' Ibn Betul.
00:59
Because there are no things.
01:01
I agree, I totally agree.
01:02
This is not a discussion, this is a question.
01:05
Yes, I know.
01:06
Mentally, it is not ready.
01:07
Supporting the anger.
01:08
Yes, supporting the anger.
01:09
Dato' Ibn Betul,
01:10
this is an important issue.
01:12
Okay, okay, I understand.
01:13
There is a thought that is not ready.
01:15
There is a question of equipment,
01:17
and the difficulties of the family.
01:19
After that, the children are not ready to take the SPM.
01:22
My question is,
01:23
okay, the minister wants to continue.
01:25
Okay, you go ahead.
01:26
But,
01:27
the increase of the students who do not take the SPM will increase.
01:31
What will happen to the students who do not take the SPM this year because of the flood?
01:36
Are they considered not present in the classroom or given a second chance to take the SPM after the flood?
01:43
Thank you, Dato' Ibn Betul.
01:45
Please, Minister.
01:47
Mr. Jerebu is a former teacher.
01:49
Yes.
01:50
Please.
01:50
Thank you, Dato' Ibn Betul.
01:52
Thank you, Mr. Jerebu, for your comments, suggestions, and questions.
01:59
For your information, Mr. Jerebu,
02:01
I remember when this government took over in 2022,
02:07
the percentage of full-time teachers in the national level was around 95%.
02:18
In the past two years, a lot of approvals have been made.
02:29
I can state that it is not business as usual.
02:34
We have taken new approvals, including approvals from COS.
02:40
This year, we will open a special session for our students from STPM, STAM, and matriculation.
02:50
The purpose is to ensure that the pool we have is sufficient to meet the needs of the flood to fill all the gaps.
03:04
Previously, we only took PISMP from SPM.
03:09
This year, we will open a special session for our students from STAM, STPM, and matriculation.
03:15
For the nine states, the gap is 711 people as of 31 October 2024.
03:28
The filling rate is 96.14%.
03:34
For your information, this year, IPGM has offered 6,300 slots for PISMP.
03:51
Previously, we have not been able to fill 100%.
03:55
This year, we were able to get the slot and offer 100% of the 6,300 people.
04:04
Regardless of whether it is a national school, a Tamil national school, or a Chinese national school,
04:11
100% of the slots have been filled.
04:16
This is very important for us to ensure that in the next five years,
04:22
when this group of people leave, and in the next year, we are able to fill 100% more,
04:30
then the issue can be resolved in a level playing field.
