Valentina Shevchenko proved again at UFC 322 why she’s the clear #1 in the UFC Women’s Pound-for-Pound rankings.

In this video, I break down my updated UFC P4P Women’s rankings after UFC 322 — including big movement for Mackenzie Dern, Verna Jandiroba entering the list, and why Zhang Weili stays in the Top 3 even after a tough loss.

🔟 10 — Virna Jandiroba
9️⃣ 9 — Tatiana Suarez
8️⃣ 8 — Natalia Silva
7️⃣ 7 — Julianna Peña
6️⃣ 6 — Erin Blanchfield
5️⃣ 5 — Manon Fiorot
4️⃣ 4 — Mackenzie Dern
3️⃣ 3 — Zhang Weili
2️⃣ 2 — Kayla Harrison
1️⃣ 1 — Valentina Shevchenko

I explain who moved, who dropped, who’s rising fast, and where the biggest skill gaps exist — especially between Shevchenko and the rest of the division.

00:00UFC 322 established one thing. Valentina Shevchenko is really good. Let's get into the pound for pound
00:13rankings. At number 10, a new fighter in the rankings. It is Verna Jandaroba. She checks in
00:21over Rose Namajunas, who has a Hall of Fame resume, but a couple of stumbles as of late.
00:26Had her on the list for a while, but can't. With Jandaroba, who earns a title opportunity
00:30against Mackenzie Dern, loses that, but I still think deserves a spot here in the top 10. At
00:35nine, it's Tatiana Suarez. This is, again, projecting a bit of the talent. The resume,
00:40because of injuries and people avoiding, this has not been a, maybe a top 10 resume, but she's a top
00:4710 talent, so I have to put her at number nine. At eight, it's Natalia Silva, who is certainly on
00:52the rise right now, and has put together a few fantastic fights, and is working her way up into
00:58title contention. At seven, Juliana Pena has lost two of her last three, relatively convincingly,
01:04and the only reason she's on here at all is because she shocked the world with Anamena Nunez' win.
01:11Aside from that, I don't know if there's a whole lot. I'm obviously not the biggest fan
01:15of this particular fighter, and so she ends up at number seven. At six, it's Erin Blanchfield.
01:21Her and Manon Fioro at number five feel kind of similar, in that they are both pretty high-level
01:28fighters. Both have some good wins, couple losses that you don't love, but a good resume that puts
01:33them in the back part of the top 10. At number four, new on the list, is Mackenzie Dern, popping up
01:41in the top 10 for the first time after winning the strongweight championship, kind of reaching that
01:45potential that a lot of people had for her. It was a bit of a longer road than people thought
01:52it would be, but you look at the names that she's beaten now, and she's absolutely deserving to be
01:57on this list. Which means, at number three, it's Zhang Weili, who doesn't move at all, even after
02:02getting beat up pretty bad by Valentina Shevchenko. Maybe a bit of hypocrisy, because Drikus Duplessis
02:08fell out of the top 10 after Hamzat Chemayev dominated him in that way at 185 pounds. But
02:14for Zhang Weili, I can't drop her below Mackenzie Dern, who won the championship only because Zhang
02:21Weili dropped it. And I also don't want to drop her too far for losing to someone who coming into
02:25the fight was at number one in the pound-for-pound rankings, so she stays at number three. At two,
02:32it is Kayla Harrison, who has been deserving of that spot for a very long time, and now coming up
02:37with a monster fight against Amanda Nunes, but happy to see her getting the recognition she
02:41deserves in the UFC. At a number one, it's Valentina Shevchenko. Another dominant performance
02:46against a highly ranked fighter. She is so clearly number one right now. When you look at the top 10
02:53that we just went through, Janderova, Suarez, Silva, Pena, Blanchfield, Fioro, Dern, Weili,
02:59and Harrison, and then Shevchenko at one, the place where there is the biggest gap between
03:05one spot and the next, I think is probably between Shevchenko and Harrison at one and two.
03:11She is that good. And those are the UFC pound-for-pound rankings on the women's side.
