Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman are going head-to-head in Netflix's holiday thriller 'Carry-On.' The airport-focused action film from Jaume Collet-Serra centers on an inexperienced TSA agent, played by Egerton, who ends up in a battle of wits with a mysterious traveler, played by Bateman, after the stranger blackmails him into allowing a dangerous package onto a flight on Christmas Eve.

00:09Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman are going head-to-head in Netflix's new holiday thriller, Carry On.

00:15The airport-focused action film from Jamei Khaled's Sarah centers on an inexperienced TSA agent, played by Egerton,

00:21who ends up in a battle of wits with the mysterious traveler, played by Bateman,

00:24after the stranger blackmails him into allowing a dangerous package onto a flight on Christmas Eve.

00:29Rounding out the cast are Sophia Carson, Danielle Deadweiler, Cinqua Walls, Logan Marshall-Green, Theo Rossi, Josh Brenner, and Dean Norris.

00:37During a recent Entertainment Weekly interview, Egerton teased his character's mindset at the point when viewers meet him in Carry On.

00:44He's unhappy at work at the airport and feeling flat and dejected about it.

00:47He's also just found out his girlfriend is pregnant, so he feels pressure to be a responsible father and provider.

00:52But I think he also feels a deep lack of fulfillment, so when he's put in this terrible situation, he has a huge occasion to rise to.

00:59The film hits the streaming service on December 13th.
