00:13Porter, who recently earned an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor for his role on the

00:17FX series Pose, is in talks to join the new Sony film and sources say that

00:21Porter will likely be playing the movie musical's resident fairy godmother.

00:25While Sony has had no comment on the casting, if all goes according to plan,

00:28Porter will be joining music superstar Camila Cabello, who is tackling the title role of

00:33the pauper turned princess. In addition to acting in the film, Cabello will also be

00:37providing music for the movie.

00:44And as far as the film is concerned, we're not too sure about exact plot details just yet,

00:48but the story is being described as a modern reimagining of the classic fairy tale.
