Sophia Bush is stepping into the world of 'Grey's Anatomy.' The 'One Tree Hill' and 'Chicago P.D.' star will join the cast of the long-running ABC drama for season 21 in a recurring role as Dr. Cass Beckman.

00:14Dr. Beckman is a trauma surgeon who is friendly, fun, and a little messy around the edges.

00:19She works at Seattle Presbyterian Hospital and is married to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital surgeon David Beckman.

00:25At this point, it's unclear if Dr. David Beckman will be cast as well.

00:28Bush will make her Grey's Anatomy debut in episode 6 of the current season, which will air on November 7th.

00:34Along with the announcement, Bush posted this video getting into costume on Instagram with the caption,

00:39I just wasn't done with my scrubs.

00:41The actress previously portrayed a doctor on screen in Good Sam, which ran for one season on CBS.

00:47In addition to Grey's Anatomy, Bush also has the untitled One Tree Hill sequel series in the works,

00:52in which she'll reprise her role of Brooke Davis from the original show and serve as an executive producer.
