Well, Chris, the cup dream is alive and kicking, but it took a long time to get over Port Alberts with a 3-2 win.
00:08
Yeah, I think you've got to give full credit to Port Alberts today.
00:11
Obviously, it's a great achievement for them to come as far as they have, as it is for us.
00:15
And a lot of travel for them to come down here today.
00:18
And I thought they were excellent first half.
00:19
I thought, you know, we weren't really at it again, which is something we've got to wear to rest in training before the next game.
00:24
Because we can't keep starting games the way we are at the moment.
00:26
And, you know, again, I'd say they were the better team in the first half.
00:30
But I said to the lads at the end of the game, I don't want to be negative all the time.
00:33
You know, we all want perfection, but we're not able to get that every week.
00:36
So the fact that the spirit that they showed in that second half is just keep going, keep going, hoping that something would happen for us.
00:42
And then obviously, Liam's had a dream debut with the two goals that he scored to put us through to the next round.
00:46
And it's a bit similar of the cup run all the way through.
00:49
It's not been perfect at times, but we've just kept going and we've ended up getting the results at the end.
00:53
Strange not to win a game by penalties.
00:55
It's the first round we've not had to go to penalties.
00:58
Do you think it was penalties at one stage?
01:00
When it gets to that stage, obviously, I was thinking who was going to be the takers and stuff.
01:03
But I did think there was another goal in the game at either end.
01:07
They were, you know, we had a lot of bodies forward.
01:09
So if they got a counter-attack right, they would have had an opportunity.
01:12
But we were nice and calm for the goal.
01:14
Well, it's dropped for Liam after a few good passes and he's took the goal perfectly.
01:20
And like I say, it's an absolute dream debut for him.
01:22
A dream debut.
01:23
And an injury to Dan Atkins as well, which upset the first half as well.
01:28
He took a heavy knock in the first half and we were going to wait till half-time.
01:31
But then watched him try to make a couple of the runs and it just wasn't right.
01:34
So obviously we had to make the change there and then.
01:37
So we're going to go to Rome next Saturday.
01:40
Another top of the table clash.
01:42
How do you expect that to work?
01:44
I think we've got to prepare properly for it.
01:46
Because like I say, we can't keep starting games the way we are at the minute.
01:49
And thinking that we're going to rescue it at the end.
01:51
Because there'll be a week where we can't.
01:53
It was a little bit like that against NFA.
01:55
You know, we left it too late to try and rescue the game.
01:57
So we'll prepare right and try and make a much better start than we have done in recent weeks.
02:01
Still in the Cup. Diachol Chris.
02:02
Diol.
02:04
