Getting the error “The file is too large for the destination file system” when trying to copy a large file to your USB drive, pen drive, or SD card? Even with plenty of free space, this can be frustrating 😕. Don’t worry — in this video, I’ll show you simple and safe methods to fix this issue on Windows 11, 10, 8, and 7.

This usually happens because your storage device is formatted in FAT32, which can only handle files up to 4GB. So, if your file is bigger than 4GB, Windows won’t let you copy it, even if your drive has tons of free space.

✅ What you’ll learn in this guide:

How to convert your USB, pen drive, or SD card from FAT32 to NTFS or exFAT safely

How to copy large files (over 4GB) easily

How to fix this error on any USB drive, external hard disk, or SD card

This method works for all brands and devices, including SanDisk, Kingston, PNY, Samsung, Lexar, Transcend, Corsair, Toshiba, HP, Verbatim, Onn, Gigastone, TeamGroup, Sony VAIO, and more.

💾 Compatible with all drive sizes: 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and beyond!
