Country music legend Toby Keith has sadly passed away at the age of 62. In a statement concerning his passing it said that Keith, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2022,"passed peacefully last night on Feb. 5, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage." The Nashville star's country was known for his hits that included the likes of "Who's Your Daddy?," "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue," "Beer for My Horses" and "Made in America."

00:05In a statement concerning his passing, Keith, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2022,
00:11passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family.
00:15He fought his fight with grace and courage.
00:18The Nashville country star was known for his hits that included the likes of Who's Your Daddy,

00:26The music star recently performed at the People's Choice Country Awards in September,
00:34where he received the Country Icon Award.
00:36Keith often made headlines for being vocal with his politics.
00:40In August of 2008, for example, before Barack Obama became U.S. president,
00:45the music star called him the best Democratic candidate we've had since Bill Clinton.
00:49He later expressed his admiration for Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin,
00:53and then said that he had left the Democratic Party and registered as independent.
00:57Keith also performed at President Donald Trump's pre-inauguration concert at Washington's Lincoln Memorial in 2017.
01:04He also racked up some acting credits and was featured in the 2006 film Broken Bridges,
01:09where he played a washed-up country musician.
01:11The movie also stars Kelly Preston and Burt Reynolds, among others.
