00:00Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jamie Foxx are teaming up for a new sci-fi thriller at Netflix.
00:05The currently untitled movie is eyeing an October start in New Orleans.
00:09It'll be directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Shulman, a.k.a. the filmmaking team known for the documentary Catfish,
00:15as well as several of the Paranormal Activity movies.
00:18The film's described as a heightened sci-fi action thriller set in Portland during a drug epidemic.
00:23The drug in question gives people a range of superpowers. The script was previously titled Power.
00:28Gordon-Levitt will play a cop whose job is to get the drug off the street,
00:32but realizes the only way to fight the users is to take the drug himself.
00:35The movie comes from the producing team behind the Netflix action fantasy film Bright, starring Will Smith.
00:45Gordon-Levitt can next be seen in the independent thriller 7500.
00:49As for Foxx, the Oscar-winning actor will next be seen in Robin Hood out November 21st.
