England pacer Brydon Carse hailed the team's "relentless" pace attack that helped them fight back against Australia on an enthralling day one of the first Ashes Test. After being bundled out for 172, the visitors reduced the hosts to 123/9 at stumps in Perth.

00:06Yeah, look, obviously an unbelievable day of Test cricket.

00:09I think everyone that came to watch today was thoroughly entertained.

00:16I think at the halfway mark, Stokes, he kept it quite simple

00:19and he said we got 50 minutes before tea

00:21and I thought the way that Gus and Joffre started was phenomenal

00:26and we carried that into the afternoon session.

00:28I thought we were quite relentless as a group of seamers

00:32and Ben rotated us.

00:34Well, it's just a collective messaging throughout the group

00:39and everyone's 100% buying into that

00:42and we're never going to shy away from that.

00:46And again, like I said, hopefully that relentlessness

00:50and passing the ball over to one another

00:54and sticking to what we want to work towards

00:57as a group of seamers will pay us in good stead.
