00:00It ends with us. Author Colleen Hoover has nothing but praise for Blake Lively in the big-screen
00:04adaptation of her best-selling novel. In a conversation with People, which also dropped
00:09first-look pictures of the film, Hoover opened up about her experience serving as an executive
00:14producer on the film, noting that the process has been absolutely incredible and surreal for her.
00:19The author especially noted that Lively, who stars as the lead Lily Bloom, gives a captivating,
00:24stunning, and emotional performance. There aren't enough words to describe her phenomenal talent.
00:30Blake Lively truly brought Lily Bloom to life in a way that exceeded all my expectations.
00:35Hoover continued,
00:36When I wrote Lily's character, I thought I had a fairly solid image in mind,
00:40but Blake's portrayal added so much depth and complexity to the character that I didn't even
00:44anticipate. It ends with us follows Lily as she works to overcome a traumatic childhood in order
00:50to embark on a new life and torn between a romance with a neurosurgeon named Ryle and her first love,
00:55Atlas, who reappears in Lily's life.
00:57Justin Baldoni, who co-stars and directed the film, also took a moment to praise his co-star and lead
01:03actress, noting that people were going to be blown away by her portrayal. I believe it's Blake Lively
01:08as you've never seen her before, adding that there wasn't a part of this production that Lively
01:12didn't touch and have influence on. For more on this story, head to THR.com. And for the latest
