00:03M. Night Shyamalan is giving us a tease of his newest thriller, Trap, starring Josh Hartnett as a serial killer.
00:09Trap follows a father and teen daughter attending a pop concert, where they realize they're at the center of a dark and sinister event.
00:16The trailer shows Hartnett's character with his daughter, Jodi, played by Ariel Donoghue, at a concert for a pop star, Lady Raven, played by Shyamalan's daughter and R&B singer, Salaika.
00:25When Hartnett goes to the bathroom, he finds groups of federal agents looking for a serial killer whom a concession worker refers to as the butcher, named for the way he goes around just chopping people up.
00:36The trailer then reveals Hartnett to be that killer, who's holding a victim hostage and now must find his way out of the concert venue.
00:42Trap is Shyamalan's first movie to hit theaters since his move from Universal to Warner Brothers, announced back in August of 2023.
00:50Trap hits theaters August 9th.
