00:00Hi guys, welcome to another Gold Coast adventure. Today we're going to Corumban Wildlife Sanctuary
00:06and I think Spencer's already, oh yeah, he's already got his shoes. Good, good, he knows where we're going to go.
00:11So we've had the sunscreen battle, we've had the insect repellent battle, so now we're getting his shoes on.
00:16Yep, and we've got your hat too, darling. And mummy's going to get her shoes as well.
00:26Excellent job. Excellent job.
00:30Very good job. And Corumban is such a good place to go, like take the kids, because it's outdoors, there's animals to see, and yeah, you can't see them, they're off their devices as well.
00:52So what are you looking forward to the most about Corumban?
00:55Definitely the right to the shop.
00:56Yeah, me too.
01:00Hi.
01:02Hi.
01:12Well, we're here now at Corumban.
01:14Even the car park is nice.
01:17Like, I've even gone to an effort to have beautiful sort of greenery and fallen logs and just, just bringing already the natural environment, even into the car park.
01:26So it's just lovely.
01:27Look, don't even have to do that door.
01:53And the reason it's to stay the door is that you don't want to let the animals out.
02:02There you go.
02:03The gate's to not let animals or toddlers out.
02:07That's so cool.
02:08That is awesome to see koalas there.
02:14Yeah.
02:17Look, Danny, look.
02:19Look.
02:20Are they asleep?
02:21They are asleep.
02:25Look, sweetheart, can you see the koalas?
02:29They are so beautiful.
02:30This is so exciting.
02:39And welcome aboard the Corumban Sanctuary Railway.
02:42We're on the middle of the road.
02:44We're on the ground.
02:44We're on the ground.
02:44We have instructions to make sure we can eat safely.
02:46The wild water keeps here in Corumban.
02:48Today, the sanctuary is a driving force for conservation.
02:51Our koalas are very fussy eaters.
02:54To keep up with the demand, our gun-cutting team visit one of five off-site new plantations every morning
03:00to make sure we have fresh food for all our heartbreak koalas.
03:05This train is so exciting because it goes all around the park
03:08and they stop at different places around the park.
03:11So you can get off, have a look at the area they've stopped at
03:14then get back on the train and go to another area of the park.
03:23Oh, we're going to go under a bridge now.
03:26This is exciting.
03:29Look back.
03:30Look at this.
03:31Look at this.
03:32Look at this.
03:49This is by far the best way to see the park.
03:51You can actually see almost the entire park if you just stay on this train
03:55and do the loop around.
03:56Are you enjoying the train ride?
04:05Yeah.
04:05I like the better than this year.
04:06It is so cool, isn't it?
04:08Oh, there's another train.

04:45This is the nearest stop for all of our mates.
04:48Dingar is 10 million there is.
04:51Tessal Honda, our consummation area 3 is a ground and nursery.
04:55And the Rwando Hospital which is open for you.
05:09That was so fun riding the train.
05:11So we've decided to get off at the conservation stop.
05:14And this is where the animal hospital is.
05:17So I'm really keen to see the animal hospital.
05:19Because often they've got animals being treated.
05:25So we're here at the animal hospital.
05:26And they're actually doing some production today as well.
05:29There's a billboard saying filming in progress.
05:31I'm not sure what they're doing.
05:33But it's so fascinating coming to this animal hospital.
05:36You can actually see animals being intubated.
05:38You can see animals being treated.
05:39There's an animal.
05:41There's something happening there.
05:42No, I think they're just doing a little bit of equipment.
05:44Do you want to have a little walk over there?
05:46But they've got real medical equipment here.
05:52Like real medical equipment obviously.
05:54Because they're treating the animals.
05:55And I'm...

06:14Oh boy.
06:15I didn't know what it was.
06:16Can I keep walking around?
06:17Just put it in the back?
06:18Look.
06:19I see.
06:20It's crazy.
06:21It's crazy.
06:22It's crazy.
06:23Look.
06:24It's absolutely fascinating to see the swan being treated.
06:28I've never seen it before.
06:29Oh.
06:30Look, that is absolutely fascinating.
06:31Just a swan being treated.
06:32treated I've never seen a salon getting medical attention that is absolutely
06:40amazing oh and this is a really important sort of lesson box here they've
06:50obviously got a turtle in there and this is all the things that it can get hurt
06:54with in the ocean like the nets and and the cigarette baths and all the rubbish
06:59that yeah so it does make you think look down in this is why pollution is so bad

12:43How do you guys hide it?
12:44Be careful, darling.
13:01Okay, we are going to go into the Reptional Den, and this Water Dragon's obviously got
13:07the memo that reptiles live here, and Spencer's is having a close look at it.
13:12We've got them in our garden, don't touch it, buddy darling.
13:15No, no, no, don't touch it.
13:17Come on.
13:20So we're going to go in here and hopefully see some snakes.
13:27There's a snake up there.
13:28Look, darling, there's a snake up there.
13:31Look, there's a green python.
13:34Come on, this way.

14:13Look, look, it was my little.
14:14Look.
14:15Its ears are there.
14:32Well we're sort of going at toddler pace so we haven't been able to dwell on any one display for that one.
14:39Oh this is a building. I think there's a little more sound.
14:46Yep, great building.
14:48Oh no, there it is, there it is darling, look, there it is.
14:52Its right there. Spencer likes the buildings.
14:59They're so cute, they really are like little rabbits.
15:03And there's mice here darling, there's fucking mice.
15:06Look, let me pick you up a little bit of a little mouse.
15:10Look, can you see the little mouse?
15:14Yeah, the little mouse, look, there's another one, look.
15:17Wow.
15:18Look.
15:20Wow.
15:21Look, there's a mouse.
15:36What are you gonna say to the American Sprung yet?
15:39Well every Outtons Highlight.
15:40We are going to get an ice cream.
15:41Well, every outings highlight, we are going to get an ice cream, and we're picking, yeah,
16:05no, we're not on the train at the moment, we're going to sit and have our ice cream, only
16:19because I know from experience that if we're walking around, yummy!
16:35Oh look darling, look sweetheart, yeah I know, it's beautiful, look darling, there's
16:49a little birdie in there, there's a little brain birdie, that's really cute isn't it, that
16:54little bird?
16:55Yes.
17:05Well, we stopped here at the cafe at the entrance to have something to eat before heading
17:21home.
17:22Spencer's having ketchup, Spencer's having ketchup with sausage roll crumbs.
17:29Here, actually eat some sausage roll, darling.
17:34He loves ketchup.
17:35Here, do you want some sushi, darling?
17:37And there is actually something very special on here today, and that is the wedding, and
17:43the wedding card is getting written.
17:46So Kurumban Wildlife Sanctuary is just such a special place to come.
17:58Like, you know, it obviously caters for very special events like weddings, and it's so
18:03family friendly, like it's got all the facilities, it does have really good parent rooms that I
18:08do remember when we came here when Spencer was only a baby.
18:11And they've got excellent food facilities, and just it's so good to get the kids outside
18:17and just to see different things like the, you know, obviously the Australian natives
18:21that are here, like the koalas, the wallabies, and the wombats.
18:26We didn't see any wombats today, but we saw an echidna in the nocturnal house.
18:32So that was very exciting.
18:33And snakes, and eggs, just an awesome place to come.
18:39Are you enjoying your tomato sauce?
18:42Yeah.
18:43What was your favourite bit, darling?
18:45Definitely the nocturnal den.
18:47Amity's favourite bit was definitely the nocturnal den.
18:50My favourite bit was the train.
18:52The train is really awesome, especially if you're visiting the park with a toddler who
18:57likes to be carried a lot, and toddlers don't like walking all day.
19:01So you can just get on the train and go to different spots, or different stops.
19:05And you can see the whole park by just going along the train track and getting off at each
19:11stop.
19:12And I think Spencer's favourite part was definitely the slide.
