Lifesaver Luke reunited with Roma after horror housefire

00:00I could see the fire to the side of me and right up in the air, trying to sing out,

00:13can anyone help me, and this boy was there, coming from the street up the lawn.

00:19So I was on the bus and I seen smoke, and then the bus driver turned around and said,

00:24ooh, house on fire, and then it was in my direction to walk home.

00:27So then I jumped off the school bus, ran down, and then I kept on hearing bang, bang.

00:33And then Roma was yelling out, can anyone help me?

00:36So then I helped her. The whole roof was sort of on fire.

00:40And then before that, probably 30 seconds before I got her out, there was a blast explosion.

00:46To be honest, I wasn't really thinking. I was just acting.

00:51When I walked away, the detective asked Mum, you don't know what you did, did you?

00:56And Mum said, no, just call triple zero.

00:59And then the detective turned around and said, he saved someone's life.

01:03Oh, absolutely marvellous. Yeah, he is, yes, absolutely marvellous.

01:07I don't know where I would be if Luke hadn't turned up.
