00:00I, uh, if you ever watch our show, you know that I do an impression of him occasionally.
00:08I certainly do.
00:11Mr. Van Dyke has come to this auspicious moment through a long line of successes,
00:18which began for him at a very early age.
00:22He was born.
00:23And, you see, his parents were very nice people who gave young Dick a very happy early life.
00:31The family was not of show business,
00:34and the young Van Dyke had neither an inclination nor thought of entering that chosen profession.
00:41His first effort was in a career where his hands would be clean in advertising.
00:47It's hard to get up and come down and get made up and everything,
00:49but anybody who didn't show up here, you know,
00:53to be able to say I was part of the 100th anniversary of Hollywood is something,
00:57and I was in it.
00:58It's like the Night of 100 Stars that Alex did.
01:00Just to have been there and been part of it is something.
01:03And have the tape.
01:06All you have to do is live longer.
01:08And I did that.
01:11What are the signatures of time?
01:13Come here, Julie, right here.

02:10So I just did a face plant right in the steering wheel.
02:23And they have two stitches here.
02:25Other than that, it just made me a little dumber.
