00:05but not everyone was invited to the celebration.

00:11and while Vice and the assassination of Gianni Versace dominated the film and TV nominations,
00:16it's the Golden Globe snubs that have everyone buzzing.
00:20You need to go home. If you really knew me, you'd be done with me.
00:23I know you.
00:24No.
00:24I know you.
00:25You don't, Mom. You don't know me.
00:26Yes, The Pretty Woman was nominated for her first-ever TV role on Amazon's Homecoming,
00:32but Julia Roberts' powerhouse film, Ben Is Back, was snubbed in all categories.

00:55Because no one thinks we have the balls to pull this off.
00:57Now, some critically acclaimed movies like Paddington 2 and Mamma Mia Here We Go Again were also shut out,
01:04despite the Hollywood foreign press love for everything jazz hands.
01:07Although Black Panther, First Man, If Beale Street Could Talk, and A Star Is Born earned multiple nominations,
01:13some of the high-profile talent behind those films wasn't recognized in major categories.
01:19Black Panther broke through with a Best Film nod, but none of its stars, like Michael B. Jordan, were nominated.
01:24Ryan Gosling played Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.
01:28But Gosling won't be walking on the Globe stage to snag an award for the first man,
01:32although his co-star Claire Foy did earn a Best Supporting Actress nomination.
01:39Mrs. Pearson, we are so sorry.
01:42Keep those tissues out! Broadcast TV's biggest drama, This Is Us, completely shut out.
01:49Second season snubs for arguably two of the best comedies glow at Atlanta,
01:53although Donald Glover and Alison Brie both received lead acting nominations.
01:58Also in the one-and-done zone, HBO's Succession and Showtime's Patrick Melrose
02:03only earning acting nominations for Kieran Culkin and Benedict Cumberbatch.
