00:00Premier Paddle arrives in Dubai leading only three tournaments till the end of the season.
00:12This will be a decisive tournament in the fight for the number one ranking as Ale Galán and Federico
00:18Chingotto have already won three consecutive tournaments. This will be also the last one
00:23for Juan Lebron and Franco Zupatuk as a pair. In a thrilling final in Kuwait, Alejandro Galán
00:32and Federico Chingotto were crowned world paddle champions, defeating the number one duo Agustin
00:37Tapia and Arturo Coelho. In the women's seat, history repeated itself as Arianna Sánchez
00:43and Paula José María also overcame world number ones Gemma Criay and Delphi Brea.
00:51I think the tournament's biggest surprise was the announcement of Juan Lebron and Franco
00:54Zupatuk's end up their partnership. They'll be swapping teammates with Leo Ausburger and
00:59Martín Mireno, which means we'll be living again the iconic Super Pibes duo.
01:04Well, we're here with Javi Garrido in Dubai. While you train, I have some questions.
01:11What do you think?
01:12Come on, I think it's good.
01:13Well, Javi, tell me a little bit. This year has probably been one of the most difficult
01:19moments of your career.
01:22The most curious thing of your season has been that you've reached to have
01:27nine different friends.
01:29Yes.
01:30Nine friends.
01:31Nine?
01:32Yes, nine.
01:33Son many.
01:34Nine friends in one year are many.
01:36Many.
01:37I'm sorry for not to cry, but I cry a lot because it's a situation.
01:41I was very easily worn as though I was feeling physically and mentally and without having
01:47the right shape and things were like, and that's the one that was hurting me.
01:50That's the one that I could not train every day and competing in the world that I like.
01:56It was a very bad situation because it never happened.
02:00I, fortunately, had always been fine.
02:02And then suddenly, boom, I got an eruption of the injury.
02:08And it was a bit complicated.
02:11But at the end, things happen.
02:15You have to try to overcome it in the best way possible,
02:18knowing that nothing is eternal.
02:20How did you feel mentally?
02:22Very bad.
02:23Very bad, yes.
02:25Well, I think it's been good to be able to be close to my family, my team.
02:33I tried to work a lot with my psychologist, to try to asimilar well the pain
02:39and to be tolerated with the frustration that I had by not being able to feel well.
02:46And...
02:48And nothing.
02:49I mean, when you're close to mine, they're the ones who have been in the best way.
02:53With Kampa, you can see another face.
02:55Yes.
02:56You can see that you're friends.
02:58And that you admire them.
03:00You're the one who's looking the best way to be in the best way to be in the most of the
03:10best way.
03:11Well, I'm in the best way.
03:12what was happening and that it gave me that stability, both in the game and in the game.
03:17And I think that we had the crowd, that we managed, that we both felt very comfortable
03:21playing together.
03:22And then we have tried to end the game as possible.
03:25Well, although it has been a difficult season, I would like to tell you what positive
03:34you get from this year.
03:35What positive is that I have learned a lot of things, but first, as a professional sport,
03:45it is to be well surrounded by a professional sport that is excellent, but not only that
03:57are excellent, but that they always look for the best for you, that they want to do the
04:03best for you.
04:04And then...
04:07So about myself?
04:09So about myself, that I think I have a lot of power.
04:14And that if I respect the injuries and I am 100% in my day-to-day, I think that I can
04:23be above, really.
04:25But...
04:26So...
04:27The main thing I have said is to be well surrounded, to be quiet, to not listen to people that
04:32you don't listen to...
04:35What is the only thing they do is to hide and not know nothing.
04:40and without knowing anything,
04:42there is no importance to those things,
04:44and being close to the people who love you,
04:47I think that's fundamental.
04:50Let's finish.
04:51Two things that make you happy out of your house.
04:53Eat.
04:55Además, you're a great cook.
04:57Well, the pasta...
04:59The pasta has not been done.
05:01It's still regular, but you have to repeat it.
05:04And spend time with my family.
05:10I don't need great things.
05:11I'm just close to mine and I feel like I'm here.
05:15What advice would you give to someone who is experiencing complicated moments?
05:18Not necessarily sportively.
05:21It's something I've tried to learn
05:25and with this bad time that I've lived,
05:28it doesn't matter in the aspect,
05:34in the field of the guide that you are,
05:36that you always try to do 100%.
05:38Always, whatever it is,
05:40if you are as a worker,
05:41if you are as a father,
05:42as a friend,
05:43as a friend,
05:43as a friend,
05:44as a novio,
05:44so you never will be able to put anything in the face.
05:46At the end,
05:47things can be better or worse,
05:49but you will be able to stay with yourself
05:50because you know that you have done the best that you have.
05:52And with that,
05:53no one can put anything in the face.
05:54I think that's what's most important.
05:57Well, I'll give you 100%, Javi.
05:59Total.
06:00That's all very well.
06:02Jemma, you just won a game,
06:04we are here in Dubai.
06:06Yes.
06:07I'd like to talk to you a little bit
06:08about how this tournament is going.
06:10Of course.
06:11Let's go.
06:12Well, Jemma,
06:14you have time behind the number one,
06:16you are number one in the world.
06:18How do you feel
06:20now that you finally have achieved
06:22a goal that I imagine you have
06:24many years behind him?
06:26Well,
06:28yes,
06:29the truth is that,
06:30fortunately,
06:32he has been number one.
06:34It's different,
06:35when it's the first time
06:36that you are number one
06:37to when you are again.
06:39But it's something super special.
06:41At the end,
06:42we compete,
06:43we train every day
06:45in search of that,
06:47to be at the highest level of the elite.
06:49What tournament do you feel this year?
06:51What tournament do you feel this year?
06:52What tournament do you feel?
06:54Well,
06:55I like it a lot.
06:58Rome and Roland Garros are very special.
07:02But every time we come to Dubai, Kuwait,
07:08all these places,
07:09they also treat us as princesses.
07:13What tournament do you feel like
07:16a professional player?
07:19Yes,
07:20that you are on the track and you say,
07:22yes,
07:23it's all.
07:24Well,
07:25maybe I would say Roland Garros.
07:27More than anything,
07:29at least,
07:30when I come from tennis,
07:32I've seen that tournament
07:34for many years,
07:36when you go to the restaurants
07:38where all your idols were there,
07:42leaving their bags.
07:45I don't know,
07:46it's like you breathe.
07:48It's a different tournament,
07:51a different professionalism,
07:54a different installation,
07:56you've seen many years
07:59on TV
08:00and now you're there,
08:02in the Philippe Chatrier,
08:03to see the full grades,
08:05because this year
08:06the grades were full,
08:08it was something emotional
08:10and a lot of chicken.
08:11A propósito de profesionalidad,
08:14tu entrenador,
08:15Rodri,
08:16siempre,
08:17siempre,
08:18siempre habla muy bien de ti,
08:19pero también dice que eres muy competitiva
08:21pero hasta en los juegos de mesa.
08:25¿Esta competitividad
08:26de dónde viene?
08:28Siempre fuiste así desde muy pequeña.
08:30Yo creo que,
08:31sí,
08:42Bueno,
08:43todo vale,
08:44no sé,
08:45ahora estaba justo pensando en todo vale,
08:46no,
08:47o sea,
08:48robar no vale,
08:49no vale,
08:59el cuidarme,
09:00el descansar,
09:01la nutrición,
09:02pues bien,
09:03al menos quedarme muy tranquila,
09:05que mi día a día lo hago al máximo,
09:08al cien por cien,
09:09con el objetivo de cumplir mis objetivos,
09:13después me voy muy tranquila a dormir,
09:15yo al final de año si no he conseguido mi objetivo,
09:18hoy puede ser el número uno,
09:20mañana va a ser otro,
09:21al menos me quedo tranquila de que he dado mi cien.
09:24Sí.
09:25Entonces,
09:29si he dado mi máximo,
09:31no lo estaría si no,
09:33si no doy mi máximo.
09:50Sí.
09:51¿Has mencionado en alguna entrevista que a ti te habría gustado
09:54o que te gustaría después diseñar ropa?
09:57Claro.
09:58¿Que te gusta mucho?
09:59Me gusta,
10:00me gusta la moda,
10:01me gusta ir de compra,
10:02sí,
10:03me gusta el diseño,
10:04sí,
10:05sin duda.
10:10Sí,
10:11yo a ver,
10:12actualmente con Bull Padel estoy contenta y feliz,
10:14desde que he entrado he opinado mucho,
10:53¿Cómo te has ayudado?
12:41Sí.
12:42Gran trabajo y muchísimas gracias por ti.
12:44Muchas gracias.
12:45Gracias.
