A total of 373 passengers were stranded on a monorail train along the Medan Tuanku route near Maju Junction in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Nov 20) morning.

However, they were safely evacuated by Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.

00:00A monorail train stalled along the Medan Tuanku route near Maju Junction, leaving some 373
00:06passengers stranded on Thursday morning.
00:10Rapid Rail Sendirian Berhad said the train experienced power failure at 8.50 a.m. and
00:15malfunctioned on the track between the Medan Tuanku and Titihuangsa stations.
00:20They said a passenger fainted in the train, and personnel from the City Fire and Rescue
00:25Department and Health Ministry were sent to the scene.
00:28The department said they received an emergency call at 9.39 a.m. about the 58-year-old woman
00:35who received treatment before being handed over to the Health Ministry for further assessment.
00:41Rapid Rail said they evacuated all the passengers to the Medan Tuanku station, where they continued
00:47with their journey.
00:48They said the affected train had been towed back to the train depot for repairs.
00:52They said the train service was back to normal at 11.33 a.m.
