Etihad Rail: First batches of state-of-the-art trains arrive

00:00Welcome, I am Engineer Khaloud Mazrou'ina, the project manager at Al-Qatara Union Company.

00:20Today, we are in Al-Roues, Abu Dhabi, to celebrate the arrival of the first batches of our new

00:29trains, which are characterized by the best standards in the world.

00:33We started with the delivery of the new train, which consists of trains and cars, to be

00:38delivered to the state via a Zayed and Al-Masafah port.

00:42This achievement is carried out with the company's targets to develop the logistics

00:47and transportation system in the state.

00:50This is done by increasing the annual freight price of the freight train by 8 times to

00:56reach 60 million tons of goods.

00:59To achieve this, the company expanded its fleet to include 45 trains and more than 1,000

01:05cars to fully serve the national railway network.

01:09Each train can carry 100 cars, which is equivalent to carrying 300 trucks.

01:15As for the cars, they are multi-purpose and designed to transport different types of

01:21goods.

01:22The Al-Qatara Union Company fleet was designed specifically to withstand the geographical

01:28nature, climatic conditions, high temperatures and humidity in the Gulf Cooperation Council

01:34region.

01:35It will contribute to reducing the transportation costs by 30% and achieve high flexibility in

01:41the timeline of the freight train.

01:44In addition to raising the efficiency of logistics operations for customers and network users

01:50Al-Masafah will be the most successful trade port.
