Civil Defence enhances rescue with social media monitoring

The Civil Defence Force (APM) is combining official reports with real-time monitoring of social media in its rescue efforts during the north-east monsoon season.

Deputy Chief Commissioner Ghazali Abd Rahman said they would monitor social media and official channels to detect incidents quickly and launch rescue operations.
