Take a trip to Kaohsiung this Saturday for a peek at Taiwan’s only open-base show of the year.



The showcase will feature honor guard performances, weapons demonstrations and other displays. The base will open to the public on Nov. 22.

00:11annual open base events, featuring demonstrations and weapon displays. The military says the goal
00:17is to make national defense feel more approachable and to gain more public support.
00:30The society doesn't only see the military, it's more likely to go to the military's day
00:35and meet our training and tasks.
00:42Amphibious combat equipment, missile systems, drones, and portable weapon systems are all on display.
00:49Among them, the twin-mounted Stinger missile gives soldiers in the field the ability to take out aircraft up to 4,000 meters away.
00:57The events will be open to the public for one day on November 22nd.
