00:00We need to see what niche the Philippines has.
00:06If the Philippines is good in agriculture, the Philippines is good in healthcare,
00:11and we know because there are so many Filipino workers all around,
00:15especially in the Middle East and Gulf areas, that work in healthcare.
00:19And that would be an example of where we can build a relationship with the Philippines.
00:25Same with agriculture.
00:27So we would look at what the Philippines is best at and what Palestine needs the most
00:35and try to match these two together.
00:37Overdue.
00:38We should have been here a long time ago.
00:41And today, as Palestinians, we want to strengthen our bilateral relations
00:46with every country that has recognized Palestine to see how we can move forward,
00:51how we can advocate more for the plight of the Palestinians,
00:55how, for example, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand can help us more in international platforms,
01:03how we can maybe start trade activities, religious pilgrimage, and so forth.
01:10So we have several objectives in related areas of mutual interest to both countries.
01:16So have you achieved any of the goals here in the country?
01:20Yes.
01:20Yes.
01:20We have signed a memorandum of understanding, for example,
01:24with the Philippines on political consultations,
01:29from which there will be mushrooming of joint ministerial committees
01:34that will be working on various issues.
01:36For example, the minister of tourism will probably hold a meeting in the future
01:42with the minister of tourism here and discuss issues of religious pilgrimage.
01:47Same with trade, same with agriculture, and so forth.
