00:00Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is now in remission after being diagnosed with cancer last year.
00:07Back in March of 2024, Middleton shared her cancer diagnosis and that she had been undergoing chemotherapy.
00:14After tentatively returning to a couple of royal engagements in the last few months, including the family's Christmas outing,
00:20Middleton said on Instagram Tuesday that she is now in remission.
00:24The 43-year-old began the post by saying,
00:26I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to Hospital The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year.
00:33My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.
00:39We couldn't have asked for more.
00:41The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.
00:45She continued,
00:46In my new role as joint patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence,
00:53as well as promoting patient and family well-being, we might save more lives and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer.
01:01Middleton ended the post by writing,
01:03It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery.
01:07As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.
01:13I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead.
01:16There is much to look forward to.
01:18Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
01:20Buckingham Palace confirmed in February of last year that King Charles has also been undergoing treatment for cancer.
01:27In April, he resumed his royal duties.
