00:00Disney's live-action Snow White is finally on the big screen, as is magazine Dreams starring
00:04Jonathan Majors. But that's not all. Here's a full preview of what you can expect at the
00:09box office this weekend. After years of controversy surrounding the live-action
00:16Snow White remake, the reviews for the film, starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, have been
00:20quite mixed. The Hollywood Reporter's chief film critic David Rooney called the movie a vibrant
00:25retelling from a smart script, while some other critics have called it pointless and so dopey
00:30it made them sleepy. According to Tracking, the movie could debut in the $45 to $55 million range
00:35domestically, and north of $100 million globally. Back at Disney's D23 Expo in 2022, fans saw a very
00:43short teaser of the film, to which they responded with delight. Zegler told THR this about their
00:47reaction.
00:48I know how I felt making it, and so hearing everybody's reception of it being so excited
00:53and screaming and cheering is so, it just fills your heart with such gratitude. Really, it does.
00:59That same day, Gadot told THR this about playing the evil queen in the film.
01:03It was amazing. It was an amazing experience. I, you know, first of all, I'm grateful for the
01:09opportunity to be able to play the first iconic villain ever, and to tell her story and to get
01:15into her shoes is just like, I'm honored to do that.
01:19Other films hitting theaters this weekend include Magazine Dreams, which sees embattled actor
01:23Jonathan Majors play a troubled, aspiring bodybuilder.
01:26It is important that you find people that you can make an emotional bond with.
01:34The release comes more than two years after the movie's Sundance premiere. Majors told THR
01:39the role pushed him to the limit physically and emotionally. There's a lot at stake for
01:43the actor with this film, and its success could signal whether audiences or Hollywood will take
01:47him back. The sci-fi thriller Ash, starring Aza Gonzalez and Aaron Paul, is also now in theaters.
01:54Who am I?
02:00And Robert De Niro is back on the big screen this weekend in the mob drama The Alto Knights,
02:04which sees him take on dual roles.
02:07All of a sudden you want to be half thin, half hot, half a racketeer. You can't have it both ways.
