00:00Catch the action, catch the mystery on my show, the best show, Mr. T.
00:30Mr. T.
00:56Mr. T.
01:00Listen up, people. This is Mr. T talking to you. Ever feel like giving up on something, like it's the only way to solve a problem?
01:26Well, most times, quitting only make things worse. A kid on my team found that out once when we were taking a train ride cross-country.
01:36A bunch of crooks was using the train to transport the stolen goods. That's how we got ourselves involved in the mystery of the Rocky Mountain Express.
01:46Now, completing his routine on the high bar, Garcia Lopez at the American Championship Gymnastics Team.
02:02Getting ready for his dismount now, a full-twisting, double-layout somersault.
02:08That's gonna cost us the meat, Mr. T.
02:16Some days, you eat the bear. Some days, the bear eats you.
02:20Let's see. With Robin's 9.7 and Louie's 9.5, Garcia's score makes an average of 9.36.
02:32Geez, Mr. T, there's no way we can win now. You lost your concentration on that dismount. I warned you about that.
02:42Back off, Robin. Can't you see he's punishing himself enough already?
02:48I really blew it, amigo. We're gonna lose because of me.
02:52Everybody has a bad day now and then.
02:54Yeah. So don't take it so hard, Garcia. Believe it or not, even I make a jerk of myself sometimes.
03:01Thanks, Jeff. You're really helping.
03:04What? The bus broke down. You sure, Bisbee?
03:07A miracle couldn't say that transmission. Those were the mechanic's exact words.
03:13He's not certain how long it will take to replace it.
03:16But we've got to be in Chicago for another meet in two days.
03:20Not to worry. I have the perfect solution. I'll make reservations for the team on the Rocky Mountain Express.
03:34Oh, boy. This is gonna be fun. Too bad Miss Bisbee has to miss it.
03:54Hmm. Somebody's gotta drive the bus to Chicago. If it ever gets fixed.
04:01Check that out.
04:02I wonder what brings them here.
04:04Evening, officers. Some kind of trouble?
04:07We're looking for the three guys who robbed the Salt Lake Biological Institute today.
04:12That's that big research lab down on Temple Street.
04:15So what did the crooks take?
04:17Sorry, we've been ordered not to discuss that.
04:20All we can say is that they were last seen in this vicinity carrying their loot in a metallic pouch.
04:27Uh-oh. We'd better get rid of that pouch.
04:32Yeah. And find something else to hide that virus in.
04:36Sorry, guys. We haven't seen anybody fitting no descriptions.
04:43Hey, Garcia! Jeff! Move it!
04:46Careful with my camera case, okay? That equipment's pretty expensive.
04:53What?

10:13uh-uh
10:15uh-oh
10:31Uh-oh.
10:43Those guys were up to something.
10:45We kind of got that impression from those masks.
10:48You gonna be all right, kid?
11:02I just felt dizzy for a second, but I'm okay now.
11:06Stay in your compartment.
11:07Woody and I can handle these turkeys.
11:09Great.
11:10First, I'm a lousy gymnast.
11:12Now I'm getting in their way.
11:14I can't seem to do anything right.
11:16You'll split up.
11:17You take one sneaky car, and I'll take the other.
11:28Where'd he go?
11:32Hey!
11:33I gotcha!
11:35Oh, it's only you.
11:41Nothing personal.
11:42No.
11:47Great.
11:48Now I can't even find a monkey on a passenger train.
11:54Freeze, you!
11:54They cut loose the baggage car.
12:12Got to get it off the main line before it rams us.
12:14Got to borrow your truck.
12:22Emergency.
12:23Uh-what?
12:24I-
12:25Uh-what?
12:26Now!
12:27Sure.
12:27Why not?
12:32Thanks!
12:33Uh-uh-sure.
12:34At any time.
12:35Denver!
12:44Denver!
12:44Denver!
12:44Denver!
12:47Oh, no!
12:49Evelyn was in the baggage car.
12:51Come on.
12:52Let's check it out.
12:53As if I don't have enough problems.
12:59Now it seems like I'm coming down with something.
13:02Face it, Lopez.
13:04You're a total washout.
13:06The team would be better off without you.
13:09I'll just leave them a note, then I'm out of here.
13:12I don't get it.
13:15They uncoupled this baggage car to make their getaway, but they're not here.
13:20Look.
13:21A test tube of some kind.
13:23Stay away from that.
13:24Could be dangerous.
13:25More than you realize, Mr. T.
13:27That stuff could be lethal.
13:29Unless I miss my guess.
13:31That's an unknown strain of a virus.
13:34An accidental byproduct of a DNA experiment.
13:38Nobody really knows what it is,
13:40but it was stolen yesterday.
13:43It was in the papers this morning.
13:45Fortunately, you can't catch the virus from somebody who's got it.
13:48You read all that in the newspapers?
13:51Well, no.
13:53You see, we're bringing Evelyn back from the Salt Lake Biological Institute.
13:58That's where the virus was created.
14:00Um, Evelyn was used as a test subject there.
14:04She was exposed to the virus and acquired an immunity to it.
14:07So that virus was what the policemen couldn't tell us about.
14:11And those guys in the ski masks were the crooks they were chasing.
14:15They hid their Luton Garcia's camera case.
14:18Yeah.
14:18After they ditched us, they must have come back here to get it.
14:21Because it's not here.
14:22I just realized there's no sign of Evelyn here either.
14:26Or her cage.
14:28Which means they took her too.
14:30They were probably afraid that she might identify them with sign language.
14:35They came back here all right.
14:36Look.
14:37Two of their masks.
14:38And over here is a porter's cap with a banana peel strewn across it.
14:43Suppose Evelyn knocked the cap off one of the crooks,
14:45then threw the peel onto the cap deliberately.
14:48I get it.
14:49It's a clue.
14:50Evelyn's way of telling us that the thieves changed clothes here.
14:54Right.
14:55They disguised themselves as porters.
14:57That's probably what they had in that suitcase.
15:00Porter's uniforms.
15:02No wonder they were able to move back through the train inconspicuously.
15:06You know, those crooks probably sneaked Evelyn and the virus off the train.
15:11And they could still be in the station.
15:13Let's take a look.
15:14But jeez, Mr. T, what if we've caught that virus?
15:18Garcia certainly must have.
15:20He touched the stuff.
15:21We all get checked out by the doctors as soon as we can.
15:24You kids want to look for those guys?
15:26Go ahead.
15:26But I am going to find Garcia first.
15:28Jeez, you really think those crooks got off here, Robin?
15:50If we find three suspicious-looking guys disguised as porters, yes.
15:58Look, that trunk has air holes in it, like for a chimp.
16:04And there's the clincher, the third ski mask.
16:08Good enough for me.
16:10Come on.
16:14Those kids from the train.
16:16Look, there's Evelyn.
16:28It's another hand signal.
16:30But what does it mean?
16:31Beats the hairy heck out of me, but...
16:37Heads up, people.
16:41Look, they've gotten away with Evelyn.
16:44Again.
16:45Let him go.
16:46We've got more important things to do now,
16:48like picking up Garcia and Mr. T and finding a doctor.
17:04He's not here.
17:06Nope.
17:07Look at the note he left.
17:08Guys, for a long time now, I've been totally useless to the team, so I hereby resign.
17:16I'm taking the next bus out of town.
17:18Please don't try to find me.
17:20Garcia.
17:21But he may have the virus and not even suspect it.
17:24Then we've got to catch up with him.
17:26Yeah, but first, we've got to be sure we're all right.
17:30Well, Mr. T, how did the examination go?
17:35No sweat.
17:36We all just got Clayton bills of help.
17:38But we think Garcia could have the disease.
17:41Let's hope not.
17:42Right now, there's only one known treatment for that virus.
17:46You need a serum made from the antibodies in Evelyn's blood.
17:50She's the only known case of acquired immunity.
17:53And we've got to go after those thieves again somehow, to find Evelyn.
17:59Those hand signals Evelyn flashed us.
18:02Suppose they were another clue.
18:05This is what she did, Dr. Drake.
18:07Hmm.
18:08That's a symbol for birth.
18:10And that means top.
18:12Huh?
18:12That doesn't make sense.
18:14The symbols communicate ideas, not necessarily words.
18:18So it could mean many things, like wingtip or Robin's head.
18:23Let's see.
18:24Top.
18:25Ceiling.
18:26Peak.
18:27Summit.
18:28Eagle Summit.
18:30Eagle Summit.
18:31It's one of the biggest ski resorts outside Denver.
18:33I skied there once.
18:35Okay.
18:36Robin, Jeff, Woody, and I will check out this Eagle Summit.
18:39And Dr. Kirby and I will go with the others to try to find Garcia.
18:43He can't have gotten very far.
18:45Good.
18:45We will meet back at the train station in three hours.
18:48Look, there's the truck.
18:52Good thing you kids memorized the license plate.
18:55About time we found it.
18:57We've only been wandering around this resort for two hours.
19:00I was beginning to think our hunt was all wrong.
19:04That sounded like Evelyn.
19:07You know it.
19:08I think it came from in there.
19:13It is her.
19:14Obviously, Evelyn wants us to go out there.
19:21So let's.
19:22Now only the others can find Garcia.
19:24Garcia.
19:24Garcia.
19:34Please let this be the right bus.
19:36Oh, please.
19:37Salt Lake Biological Institute.
19:52It's us, the ones who stole your mystery virus.
19:56But we bet you'll take it back for 500 grand.
20:00You make the ransom drop at midnight at the fourth in the old trail road.
20:13Ten miles west of Eagle Summit.
20:15You got that?
20:16You again?
20:18That's right.
20:19And we never miss an entrance here.
20:21Do we, guys?
20:51Skis, huh? Two can play at that sport.
21:06One of them got away, Mr. T.
21:08Don't sweat it. I'll handle him.
21:10Robin, you? Robin? Robin?
21:15She went off after him by herself.
21:18Like a blame fool.
21:19Keep an eye on those two while I'm gone.
21:22This could get tricky, Emily.
21:24Hang on tight.
21:26Not like that.
21:28You out of your mind, girl?
21:31Maybe I am.
21:32I didn't count on a speed jump.
21:41Whoa!
21:45What do you think you're doing?
21:48Can't remove her around it.
21:50He ain't up the line, hotshot. You're coming with us.
22:02Dr. Drake's assistant? Dr. Adams was their leader?
22:06Wait till she learns he was nothing but a common crook.
22:09You wait. I'm going.
22:17Garcia never made it to the city limits, Mr. T.
22:20He passed out on the bus.
22:22Don't worry.
22:23We've taken him to the hospital.
22:25He'll be fine once he gets the syrup.
22:28Then let's see that he does.
22:29Looking good, Garcia.
22:42Bet now you're glad you didn't quit after all.
22:45Yeah.
22:46I know I let you guys down by not working harder on my routine last week.
22:50But wanting to quit the team was worse, because I let myself down.
22:55Forget it.
22:56That's all over, good buddy.
22:58Yeah.
22:59Not only have you been practicing, but thanks to you, we're going to ace this meet.
23:03Hooray!
23:04Hooray!
23:04See what I'm talking about?
23:14Knowing we're not to quit.
23:16That's always harder than throwing in a towel.
23:19Don't assume you can't handle a tough situation.
23:23You don't know that until you try.
23:25But you can't solve your problems by running away from them.
23:29That just makes things worse.
23:31Not just for you, but for everybody around you.
23:36And that's a tip to you from me, Mr. T.
23:40The End
23:44That's a tip to you from me.
24:14That's a tip to you from me.
24:17That's a tip to you from me.
24:19That's a tip to you from me.
24:20That's a tip to you from me.
24:21That's a tip to you from me.
