00:00This moment was nearly a tragedy, if not for the heroic work conducted by North Davis Fire
00:05District rescuers. This video was recently captured in a park in Utah. Icy temperatures
00:10caused a pond to partially freeze over, an enticing venture for Bob the Unleashed Dog.
00:15The animal wandered out onto the frozen body of water, but at some point fell in,
00:19leading to a race against the clock for rescuers. You can see one of the firefighters using a
00:24ladder to make his way out onto the thin ice. He eventually makes it out to Bob,
00:28but is forced to enter the water himself to reach the dog safely. Luckily, the unnamed hero was
00:32wearing a dry suit, keeping him warm while he attempts to get Bob out of the water and onto
00:36dry ground. The rescuer hoists the animal back onto the ice, where Bob simply shakes it off
00:41before returning to his owner. The firefighter followed suit, pulled across the ice by his
00:46fellow rescuers. The animal seemed fine and was rescued without injury, but the North Davis Fire
00:51District issued a statement shortly after, urging people to be safe with their pets and their
00:56children, as ice conditions are not as safe as they would like them to be.
