00:00Have you not seen the bloopers of this?
00:01Oh, the Masters?
00:02The Minty Cools.
00:03Oh, the Minty Cools, yeah.
00:05I like Cools.
00:08The minty flavor.
00:10you.
00:17This is the greatest thing.
00:24Hey, I'm Paul.
00:25I'm Michael.
00:26I'm Austin.
00:27And we're going to watch some YouTube videos.
00:29Yes, we are.
00:29Yes, we are.
00:30Anybody that knows me knows I love anime.
00:32So this is My Hero Academia's season seven.
00:36It's a death of a beloved character
00:38that you got a chance to know throughout the last, like,
00:40you know, six years or so.
00:43And this is kind of this epic, you know,
00:45moment of almost self-sacrifice in a way.
00:48So when I go to watch this entire series,
00:50this will have spoiled.
00:51No, no, no.
00:52That's it.
00:53I ruined it for you right here.
00:54No, but it's an iconic moment in a turn for him
00:58because this moment kind of embodies who he who he was
01:01throughout the entire show.
01:02Right.
01:02He's like, he's always at odds with the main character.
01:04This guy here.
01:05Yeah, to the left.
01:05Right, right, right.
01:07He's at odds with the main character.
01:09And this is like the main villain that they've been fighting
01:12throughout.
01:13This guy.
01:13Yeah.
01:14Wow.
01:15Wow.
01:21And he admits like this glycerin from his skin
01:24that he can ignite.
01:25And this gets him.
01:26Yeah.
01:27And he's like moving.
01:28He's been getting.
01:30So he's fully just sacrificed himself.
01:32Big time.
01:33But he actually thinks he's got them figured out right now.
01:36And like, he's just kind of like in a flow state.
01:39Japanese culture, their themes of like friendships, bonds,
01:42and promises and being sometimes the odd one out,
01:46you know, that the one that doesn't belong,
01:47the one that society cast as the outcast
01:50is usually the one that that is is like the hero,
01:53the one that has to kind of go against all odds to like,
01:55you know, make his dreams come true to never give up.
01:57It kind of runs through a lot of of their of their anime.
02:01And it's just like it's something, I don't know,
02:03empowering about it and very emotional, you know,
02:05and a lot of the noble big time, big time.
02:08And a lot of things that I personally kind of connect with.
02:10So you'll see similar themes throughout most of their series
02:14and with the action, too, as well.
02:16And it's very visual, you know, and the design of it's crazy.
02:19Big time. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:20And you can tell, like, you know, certain scenes
02:22or certain parts of it that are like,
02:24okay, they saved the budget for this one.
02:25Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:26Animation is crisp and some things
02:28a little more, you know, gritty.
02:30So it's fun.
02:30Do you find in films that you're either acting
02:33or direct that you take inspiration from certain anime?
02:36Oh, big time.
02:37With Creed III, the first film that I directed.
02:40Which was amazing, bro.
02:40Appreciate you, bro.
02:41Appreciate you, man.
02:42There was a lot of fight moments
02:44that I've seen throughout anime that I was like,
02:47okay, cool.
02:48It'd be great if I could actually incorporate
02:49or get this feeling of this sequence.
02:51Or how do you achieve this in animation
02:54that feels so supernatural?
02:55How can you put that in like-
02:56You know, like different media.
02:57Different media.
02:58Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:59So have you watched any?
03:01I think this is the first.
03:03I've never sat down and watched like a show.
03:06Okay, okay, okay.
03:07What about you?
03:07I've seen Perfect Blues, Paprika.
03:09Those are great ones.
03:11But I haven't seen any of the TV.
03:13TV stuff, yeah.
03:14Dragon Ball Z.
03:15Dragon Ball Z, yeah.
03:16So you've seen Dragon Ball Z.
03:17All right, that's an OG pillar.
03:19That's like an OG.
03:20Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:21That's a great one.
03:22This looks unbelievable.
03:24It looks so cool.
03:24This is a good one.
03:25So what I'm gonna share is Monica Martin and James Blake
03:29performing this song called Go Easy Kid.
03:32It's a live performance and they're stunning.
03:34Her voice is out of this world.
03:35Yeah.
03:36And James Blake's one of my favorite musicians.
03:38But the lyrics to it,
03:39any time that I'm taking things too seriously, you know,
03:42but it also makes you wanna-
03:43Cry?
03:44You know, take, no, just make them realize
03:47that you get one life instead of go out there and live it,
03:49you know?
03:50I just feel like anything with James Blake
03:52makes me wanna cry.
03:52Yeah, it'll get us.
03:55His piano is amazing.
04:06I commit myself to sabotage.
04:12See, I can get what I want,
04:14then I'll make it hard to hold on.
04:18Beautiful voice, right?
04:20When was the first time you heard the song?
04:22I, it was, I don't know, a few years ago, I think.
04:26Hmm.
04:27It's this line, it's go easy, kid.
04:29It's only rock and rolly.
04:30Hmm.
04:31Ah, go easy, kid.
04:33It's all of a sudden, right?
04:34It's just like locked in.
04:35Right.
04:35It's just like listening to each other.
04:39In their element.
04:40Yeah, totally.
04:41Totally.
04:43And the simplicity of just a micro going on the piano, you know?
04:46One camera catching them both.
04:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:48There's this line at the end where she says,
04:50uh, 20 years from now, you wish you'd grabbed it all by the throat
04:53and said, fuck it, it's only rock and roll.
04:55Whoo!
04:56That's strong, right?
04:57Yeah.
04:58I feel like crying is appropriate to that.
05:00To that, right?
05:02And the idea that we'll blink our eyes
05:03and it'll be 20 years from now, you know?
05:04Yeah.
05:05It's a constant, it's a human emotion, right?
05:07That we're always feeling of like, damn,
05:08I wish I did this yesterday or I wish I did that.
05:10Just go out and do it.
05:11I know.
05:12Strong.
05:12You're kind of like a human emotion.
05:13Slightly miss the mark in terms of like,
05:16hearing both beautifully speak about like your relationship.
05:20I've gone for some like.
05:22Break it up.
05:22I've gone for like the U.S. bloopers, like.
05:25Let's go for it, of The Office.
05:27Of The Office, yeah.
05:29Which is my favorite show ever.
05:31I can go back to that.
05:32I love it.
05:32Joe, just get some rest, we'll see you Monday,
05:34unless you're still sick.
05:36Um, all right, we'll have a great long weekend.
05:39I'll probably be just sleeping.
05:47Isn't it just so comforting?
05:48Yes, it is, it is, it is.
05:49Something so joyous about how old she is.
05:52I'm going to have kids, and I'm going to get married.
05:54Not necessarily in that order.
05:56What if she's 55?
05:57And they are going to live here.
05:58What?
06:01It's the best when you see him try not to hide.
06:03I know, they just keep the camera rolling.
06:05Yes, yes, yes, yes.
06:06I was just talking about that.
06:07I think, I think he's one of the funniest men to do like.
06:09Are you kidding me?
06:10He's one of the funniest people there at all.
06:12Oh my God!
06:13And I am praying that I find this heinous culprit.
06:18Heinous culprit?
06:19I would pray to Thor.
06:21I will pray to Thor himself.
06:24You know he spoke there.
06:26Now you know that that might be for him.
06:28It's going to be better.
06:29It's usually the most, the serious,
06:30the most serious moments are the ones that you end up laughing the most about.
06:35Cause it's so, it's so intense that it's ridiculous.
06:37Yeah.
06:38You know, like yeah, during Sinners, it was pretty crazy.
06:40Like, you know, like how does a vampire sound?
06:43And then you start, then you hear yourself doing it.
06:45When you're having to do the opposite.
06:46Yeah, then it's over, then it's over.
06:47You got to walk away.
06:48You're vulnerable at that point.
06:50Everybody, the crack is open.
06:52Most of mine exists generally if I'm doing like a sex scene or I'm scantily,
06:55like scantily clad.
06:58How often are you scantily?
06:59It's just making me speak like that.
07:01Cause those positions are just so like you're being witnessed by everybody
07:05that you're normally with a friend.
07:07You're like, what the fuck is that?
07:08So, so you bring bloopers back.
07:11I would love to bring bloopers back.
07:12Yes.
07:13Bloopers were my favorite thing.
07:14Big time.
07:15But then the movies after the credits and just like run the bloopers.
07:18That's, that's, yeah.
07:19I used to, every time I would travel, I would bring the DVDs is before streaming.
07:24So it's DVDs of the office.
07:26And that was my comfort food.
07:28I'd be off the 16 years old on location somewhere.
07:31And I, I put it on DVD.
07:33They're just the greatest kind of timeless.
07:35Would you guys hang out and do this again?
07:37Absolutely.
07:37I would love to get some anime recs, listen to some sad music,
07:44and then finish it with some, with some often.
07:46Yeah.
07:47Perfect.
07:47There we go.
07:47Yeah.
