Bangladesh's former prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, has been sentenced to death for crimes against humanity over her crackdown on student-led protests last year. She has been found guilty of allowing the use of lethal force against protesters, around 1,400 of whom were killed during protests to end government job quotas last year.
