Investigations are underway into fatal police shooting north of Brisbane. Officers have declared two crime scenes in Caboolture after police shot a man who had stabbed one person and threatened another with a knife.

00:00Two crime scenes have been declared after a 26-year-old man was fatally shot by police after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck.
00:11Emergency services were called to Beerbarram Road in Caboolture, north of Brisbane, just before 4 o'clock this morning.
00:17Authorities say the 26-year-old alleged offender had stabbed a man in his 50s just before 4am, before then fleeing on foot to nearby Margaret Street.
00:27It was there police came across that offender threatening a woman in her 20s with a knife.
00:33Police then opened fire on the 26-year-old, killing him at the scene.
00:38We spoke to Queensland Police earlier today who said the investigation is still well underway.
00:44I can confirm there's a loose association between the three people involved.
00:48I can also confirm there does not appear to be any sort of intimate partner relationship between the three people who were present this morning.
00:53The matter was captured on body-worn camera and closed-circuit television systems nearby.
00:58I can confirm he was presenting a threat to the female and to the public.
01:03The Ethical Standards Command has been tasked to the incident to assess the actions of the officers involved.
01:09That will have oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
01:13We've been told the man in his 50s is currently in a serious condition at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
01:19The woman in her 20s was unharmed.
