From Bhilwara (Rajasthan) to a Project Management role at bp (British Petroleum), PIBM student Jasmeet Singh Chhabra’s journey reflects how the right intent and the right B-school can reshape a future.
PIBM’s BOP gave him early exposure through domain training, corporate sessions with CXOs, industrial visits, and much more. With live projects, a structured curriculum, and internships at Amul and CBRE, he built solid industry understanding.
During his journey at PIBM, he also stepped into a leadership role — leading 10 departments during Aarambh, coordinating events, and managing operations for Uddipan, which boosted his confidence and execution skills.
Backed by mock PIs & GDs, mentor support, and a crucial SDLC session arranged by Chairman Dr. Raman Preet Sir, he cracked his placement with clarity.
Today, Jasmeet stands at BP, proving: With the right intent, opportunities follow.

00:00Hello, my name is Jasmeet Singh Chhabda. I was born and raised in the city of Bheelwara, Rajasthan.
00:20So reflecting a little upon my academic journey, since high school I've been into the world of
00:26commerce and business management. This led me to Pandit Deendial Energy University for my
00:32bachelor's of business administration, where I got to explore the area of liberal arts and the
00:38dynamic field of management. So after completing my bachelor's, I decided to pursue a master's of
00:45business administration with an aim to equip myself with professional knowledge as well as practical
00:52exposure to thrive in the business world. And being at Pune Institute of Business Management
00:58has played a pivotal part in this journey.
01:05My enriching phase at PIBM began in the month of May 2024 with business orientation program,
01:13which helped me to gear myself up for the upcoming semesters. So this BOP term was filled with
01:19moments of enjoyment as well as learning experiences. So I still remember going to various tracking
01:26activities, numerous corporate session and industrial visit, which provided me with an opportunity to
01:32connect directly with CXOs and MDs and gain first hand insights about the industry. Talking about the
01:40further semesters, all thanks to the well-planned rigorous curriculum training and a handful of practical
01:48opportunities in the terms of live projects and internships, which helped a lot towards my personal transformation.
02:01I have always been someone who is into the belief of learning while doing and at PIBM, I was able to gain
02:08experiences beyond classrooms from leading 10 different departments in the Cultural Fest RM to working as an event
02:17coordinator and handling data and operations for national level MSME summit Udiipan. All these experiences and
02:24activities cultivated the confidence of taking initiatives, leading from the front and being spontaneous.
02:31internship opportunities with two very esteemed organizations, AMUL and CBRE gave me a practical overview of how industries operate and what are their intricacies.
02:48Sharing my final placement experience, I feel it is the most crucial and critical phase in the academic journey of a candidate as it marks the transition from academic life to the professional world.
03:01through PIBM, through PIBM, I secured my placement at BP in a project management role in the technology entity.
03:08I strongly believe it was not just the result of one or two days of work. It was the cumulative effect since the day I joined PIBM, driven by the constant efforts of all the mentors and the departments from academics to the placement.
03:26industry specific training, numerous mock PIs and GDs strengthened my confidence and provided clarity to my thought process.
03:35I still remember a session with my chairman sir, Mr. Raman P, a week before our final interview.
03:42To better understand the job profile, sir arranged the session with a highly experienced professional in the same field who made the concept of software development lifecycle so much easier for us to understand and it added a significant value to my interview process as well.
04:00Moments before my final interview, I just tried to hold my composure and entered the room with a conquering mindset that one hour was not just the test of my knowledge but also the reflection of the values and attitudes I possessed and showcase it how well I could align them with the organization's culture.
04:27Sharing my most important learning through PIBM.
04:32PIBM ignited the eagerness to learn and made me realize the power of right intent.
04:39Doing things with the right intent will make the things fall into the right place for you.
