00:00The world is getting warmer at a faster rate than ever before, which is why we need new methods across industries to help mitigate greenhouse gases.
00:12And that's why this Egyptian ice manufacturer is doing its part to cool things down with conservation in mind.
00:18They are reducing their thermal emissions and their water waste using a new method developed by the owner of the factory, Mustafa Al Ashri.
00:25Al Ashri says ice production has a couple of issues, including water treatment and production speed, which can lead to fungal and viral development.
00:32Which is why his factory's concept involves using molds that treat the water from the beginning, ensuring it is 100% healthy.
00:39They use stainless steel molds to cool the ice more quickly at temperatures of around minus 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
00:45With Al Ashri saying about it, quote, this quick freezing process prevents any viruses or bacteria from becoming active during the freezing process.
00:53Furthermore, its cooling capacity is 10 times greater than that of regular ice molds.
00:58His patented tech is now being used across industries, including food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and even in hospitals.
01:05And because it's more efficient, that means less emissions are released into our atmosphere.
