What is this video about?
We test the Elite Cake Maker with the MyMini Lava to evaluate bundt cake results, ease of use, cleanup, and overall value.
Why test both together?
Elite excels at bundt shapes; MyMini Lava promises fast, compact heating. Comparing them reveals strengths, weaknesses, and whether they complement each other.
How did we test them?
Repeatable trials using the same batter, identical portions, timed cycles, temperature checks, and blind taste tests to ensure fair results.
What metrics mattered?
Rise, evenness, crust color, internal texture, release, cleanup time, and power draw.
Key findings?
Both produced good cakes. Differences showed in browning consistency, release from the pan, and cycle speed—one browned more evenly, the other heated faster and cleaned up easier.
Is this the best setup?
"Best" depends on priorities: choose speed or consistent browning. For most home bakers, the unit with even results is preferable; speed matters for frequent quick batches.
Q: Should you buy both?
A: Not required. Single purchase based on your needs is sensible; buy both only if you want flexibility.

Q: Who is this video for?
A: Home bakers, gift shoppers, and anyone deciding between countertop cake appliances.
Q: Where’s the verdict?
A: Watch the video end for a concise scorecard, pros and cons, and our final recommendation.

Q: Quick tip?
A: Use room-temp ingredients, avoid overfilling, and let cakes rest before unmolding.

00:00Hey everybody, today I'm showing you two cool bond cake makers.
00:02This is the Elite Cuisine Flippomatic Bond Cake Maker
00:06and this one is the Nostalgia My Mini Lava and Bond Cake Maker.
00:09Both of them are non-stick, don't take a lot of space.
00:12Use the smaller one to make smaller cakes.
00:14So these two can be complimentary.
00:17Just use the same batter, you prepare it, you make the big one
00:20and then if you have anything extra to avoid investing,
00:24you put it in the smaller one which makes three of them.
00:26Then you can serve your guests.
00:28If they want to have a bigger cake, you can cut that
00:30or if you want to have a smaller cake, you have these pieces.
00:34They take about 10 minutes to prepare.
00:36You can serve them with tea, coffee, very simple,
00:39easy to clean because they're not a stick
00:41and they don't take a whole lot of space
00:43so you can technically store them in a small kitchen.
00:46I'm going to show you guys the batter that I used here.
00:48It's just eggs, cake mix, yogurt, things like that,
00:52cinnamon, a little bit of cinnamon.
00:54Just mix them together, pour them in, wait 10 minutes
00:57and they'll be ready.
00:59Thanks for watching.
