00:00Yesterday I spoke with the Oscar nominated actor at the National Board of Review Awards

00:05and he told us exclusively what he has learned from Venus and Serena Williams

00:10while taking on the role of their father in the movie King Richard.

00:13Venus and Serena have learned from Richard and from Oracine

00:18how to find that unique thing inside of a person

00:22and feed the flame without having to push and demand that they be something

00:27and do something that, you know, you want them to be

00:31versus allowing them to grow into what they want to be.

00:34In addition to this, Will also touched on Venus and Serena's reactions to the film

00:38and he shared that they were hesitant to give their stamps of approval

00:41until after seeing the movie.

00:43They were supportive all the way through.

00:46They helped us create, but they withheld.

00:49They said they wouldn't say whether or not they were going to put their names on it

00:52until they saw the film.

00:53They wanted to make sure that we made a great film.

00:56And I remember they went into the movie theater, they watched it,
