00:04Here's the truth.

00:06The internet has been questioning whether or not the Euphoria star has fabricated parts of her inspiring backstory.

00:12Back in November, a women's health cover story about the 26-year-old actress detailed her humble beginnings,

00:18saying she made extra cash as a teenager by babysitting, cleaning restaurant bathrooms,

00:22and leading tours at Universal Studios, all to help her family pay the bills while she was trying to make it in Hollywood.

00:28Sweeney has since been asked about working at Universal during an interview on Hot Ones.

00:32I love tour guides at Universal. I memorized the entire thing, and so I was there for a little bit,

00:38and then I actually booked Sharp Objects.

00:41And on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

00:42Like every high school kid needed a job, and I was taking anything that I could get.

00:49But when news of Sweeney's Universal gig made its way to TikTok,

00:52a handful of creators who claimed to have worked at the amusement park themselves called her out and said she was lying.

00:58So, The Hollywood Reporter investigated and found that Sweeney is in fact telling the truth.

01:02It's just that her tenure at Universal was short-lived,

01:05and she left before having a big impact on the tour circuit.

01:08Sweeney was hired by Universal Studios Hollywood on June 12, 2016,

01:12after which she attended an orientation shift followed by a training shift.

01:15However, she exited the job on July 18, 2016, when she booked an acting job.
