00:00Now to Chris Rock, who addressed the Will Smith slapping incident during a recent show.
00:05According to The Palm Desert Sun, during his show in Indio, California,
00:09the comedian told the audience he was doing okay after the incident,
00:12but he won't talk about it until he gets paid.
00:15Chris reportedly told the crowd,
00:17I'm okay, I have a whole show, and I'm not talking about that until I get paid.
00:20Life is good. I got my hearing back.
00:23It's not completely clear what Chris meant about getting paid,
00:26but I can only assume he might be holding out for an exclusive interview or a comedy special
00:30where he'll be paid what he feels like he deserves.
00:32And this came after the Academy delivered a 10-year ban to Will Smith for the act of violence,
00:37which requires him to steer clear of all Academy events, including the Oscars, for a decade.
