COMMUNITY REMOVES NEARLY 600,000 POUNDS OF TRASH
WITH VID
By Devanshu Yadav
Watch this inspiring montage as a massive lake cleanup turns into a powerful “clapback” to negativity.
Sarah Jones, an outdoor adventure guide and content creator from North Carolina, filmed the uplifting clips at Fontana Dam, where hundreds of volunteers have joined an eight-year effort to clean up Fontana Lake.
What began with just one person willing to try has grown into an extraordinary community movement that has now removed nearly 600,000 pounds of trash from the shoreline.
The video shows a dozen volunteers including Sarah and her husband, cleanup director Brandon Jones gathering, loading debris.
The before-and-after difference is striking, proving how powerful community action can be.
Sarah shared the video online, one user commented: “Absolutely amazing! You go girl! And everyone you have inspired to participate!”
Another added: “Congratulations. A job super well done.”
