Big Finish in Zagreb as the Grand Prix Concludes

The Zagreb Grand Prix ended in style. Ivaylo Ivanov, Yelyzaveta Lytvynenko, Nikoloz Sherazadishvili, Celia Cancan and Kanan Nasibov took gold, while Croatia’s Helena Vukovic earned bronze, rounding off an outstanding weekend of judo.

00:00The third and final day of the 2025 Zagreb Grand Prix
00:04promised to deliver more exhilarating action inside the Arena Zagreb.
00:08A great crowd amassed to watch some of the highest quality judo on offer,
00:12and they were not disappointed.
00:14After a close contest in the under-90kg final,
00:17it was Ivailo Ivanov who bested former world champion Luka Mysaradze
00:21with a well-timed Tomo Anagi in golden score,
00:24securing a fifth Grand Prix gold medal of his career.
00:27IGF Medical Commission Chair Dr. Antonio Castro was on hand to award the medals.
00:34The under-78kg category saw Marie Brantzer become the first athlete from Guinea
00:39to reach a Grand Prix final.
00:41There, she faced the Elizaveta Litvinenko, who proved a step too far for Brantzer.
00:46A great Tani Otoshi for Ippon clinched the gold.
00:50A first Grand Prix title for Litvinenko.
00:57She was awarded her medal by Mr. Armin Bagdazarov,

01:05At under 100kg, Nikolaos Shirazadishvili had looked impressive all day.
