00:09During Butler's acceptance speech at this year's Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor

00:26I just am so grateful right now, I'm in this room full of my heroes.
00:30Brad, I love you.
00:32After the ceremony, Butler addressed why people might be hearing Elvis in his own voice.
00:36I don't even think about it.
00:38I don't think I sound like him still, but I guess I must because I hear it a lot.
00:42I often liken it to when somebody lives in another country for a long time, and I had

00:50of my DNA that will always be linked in that way.
00:53This is far from the first time people have claimed Butler sounds like he's trying to
00:57talk like Elvis.
00:58Back in June of 2022, the actor spoke to Elle Australia about fans who were confused about
01:03whether Butler was doing it intentionally.

01:11Your mouth can change.
01:12He added,
01:13I'm constantly changing.
01:14Check in with me in 20 years when I've played a lot of roles.
01:17Who knows what I'll sound like?
