00:00An Israeli defense contractor known as Maya Engineering had its internal surveillance
00:04footage leaked online by an Iranian-linked hacktivist group. The hackers, known as Cyber
00:08Toufan, first emerged in November 2023 and have hacked more than 100 different targets,
00:13almost all of which are located in Israel. The hackers' latest attack resulted in the leak of 117
00:18CCTV videos from within the company's headquarters. The videos show everything from employees
00:23attending meetings to designing weapons systems. Large-scale models of Israel's Iron Dome missile
00:28defense system and the Iron Beam 450, a laser-based air defense system capable of destroying drones
00:33and rockets, can be seen throughout the footage. But it wasn't just videos that were leaked.
00:37Technical drawings of rocket parts, such as turbines and jet nozzles, were also published by the hackers.
00:43The hackers have cited Israeli attacks in Palestine as justification for the hacking campaign.
00:47Experts told SAN that although Cyber Toufan portrays itself as an independent hacktivist group,
00:52its operational patterns, timing, and strategic focus mirror the hallmarks of Iranian state-aligned
00:57cyber activity. You can read more about the hack at SAN.com or on the Straight Arrow News app.
