00:00What has been happening on social media for the past three days has been absolute madness.
00:07It's crazy and great in equal parts.
00:11Suddenly, I have so much attention and I'm trying to figure out how to process it.
00:16At the same time, there is so much love coming my way.
00:19So many lovely comments, messages, phone calls from people who have seen my posts on Instagram
00:26or other social media platforms.
00:27It has been overwhelming, the amount of love I'm receiving.
00:31So many of my friends, relatives, people I know have sent me several posts and memes
00:39and some of them are ridiculously funny and very creative also.
00:42But some of them are also AI morphed images of me which are not in great taste.
00:52They are sexualized and objectified.
00:57They are beyond comfort and this bothers me.
01:01I am also somebody who lives in this day and age.
01:06I use social media myself.
01:08I am fully aware of how this works.
01:12When something becomes viral, something is trending, these kind of images generally get made and get circulated.
01:20As long as people are clicking on your post and you're getting enough likes and interactions and views
01:25and that's serving your purpose, we all know how this game is played.
01:30But what is bothering me is that this game has no rules and there's just absolutely nothing that is not allowed in this game.
01:38I have a 12-year-old son.
01:41He does not use social media right now, but eventually he will.
01:46Once he grows up, he's going to have access to these images because they may be circulating right now,
01:52but they're going to remain on the internet forever.
01:55These obscene images of his mother, he's going to see them one day.
01:59And it worries me, scares me, bothers me to think how he's going to feel about them.
02:06He will know that these are not real images and that they are morphed with the help of AI, edited.
02:13Just like people who are watching these images right now, they are also aware of the fact that these are not real images
02:21and that they are modified, but it does give them some sort of a cheap thrill, some sort of a cheap...
02:27titillation.
02:31This is scary.
02:33And I know and I'm fully aware that I cannot do much about it.
02:36But not doing anything about it is also not sitting right with me.
02:41So here I am requesting you.
02:44If you are somebody who's watching this video and you use AI to morph images of women, men,
02:51and everybody into something that's not appropriate,
02:57then you should think about it once.
02:59If you're not somebody who edits these kind of images and posts them,
03:03but you are somebody who likes seeing these kind of images on social media,
03:08then you are also part of the problem.
03:11I can only request you to reconsider.
03:14Apart from that, I'm having a lot of fun because of the sudden attention.
03:20And if this translates into more people watching my films, watching my series, watching my plays,
03:28then what else could I ask for?
03:31So I hope you all keep showering your love.
03:35And I hope I keep doing great work as well.
