00:00My name is Lawrence Kaler. I'm from Central Florida. I ended up here on Seagird Beach due to an emergency situation. The line had come out of my hand and wrap it around with a rudder causing me to lose steering. That happened September 20th.
00:18Since then, several attempts were made to get the boat back into the water. Progress was made, but then a nor'easter came, which caused me to have to release the line so that the boat didn't end up on the rocks, which pushed the boat far up on the beach.
00:35I made several attempts to contact the city. They have not contacted me back. I'm not sure about the legalities of, you know, we can see that it says do not enter in a police line. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to cross the line and I'm not sure what is legal for bringing vehicles to get the boat into the water.
00:57Right now, without having the city tell me what I can and can't do, I'm kind of out of a standstill. I'm willing to sign the boat over to them. The city wants to drag the boat down the beach approximately a mile. The boat still floats. I say just put the boat right there in the water at low tide and I'll have it towed into the inlet.
01:22They gave me a legal document releasing them from liability. I'm willing to sign that if it's changed from they want to drag it a mile down the beach to moving it 250 feet into the water.
