00:00The Landed Meteor Shower peaks this weekend, and it's famous for producing meteor storms with
00:10thousands of meteors per hour in years like 1833, 1966, and 2001. This happens when the
00:17Earth passes through a dense trail of debris from comet 55P, but this year it'll be a more
00:22typical showing. You can expect around 10 to 15 shooting stars per hour from Sunday night into
00:27Monday morning. The best viewing will be after 3 a.m. local time. And for the best viewing
00:32conditions, find a dark spot away from city lights and check the AccuWeather app for how
00:37the cloud cover looks in your area. You won't have to wait long for the next meteor shower,
00:42though. The Geminids peak next month with more than 100 shooting stars per hour.
