00:00Europe is exhausted, but the European project is not dead.
00:05And just as we as individuals can be tired and exhausted, we can recuperate, we can re-energize
00:12ourselves.
00:13We're doing this in the United States.
00:14The reason Europe is exhausted is because every or almost every European nation has
00:20given too much of its sovereignty to the supranational organization known as the European Commission.
00:26Spaniards and Europeans may want the European Union to continue.
00:30That's up to you.
00:30That's not up to the United States.
00:32But what we see is that there has been an erosion of national identity, of national pride in
00:38places where that should never exist, starting, for example, with Spain.
00:41And so the way we overcome this is to regenerate our politics.
00:46And if we're going to regenerate our politics in a way that reflects the will of the people,
00:51then we're going to regenerate our institutions.
00:53So if people are sour on politics, if they're sour on the European project, look to Brussels
00:58and then look to your leaders in Spain and demand of them, demand of them, not only a
01:05better politics, a better policy, but that you actually have institutions like schools
01:09and universities that reflect truth, that reflect goodness, that in fact, inspire us to the greatest
01:16thing, which is human flourishing.
01:18That's probably not true.
01:19Thank you.
01:19Thank you.
01:20Thank you for listening.
