00:00Shabos, what do you make of that? I mean, do you think, given the public discourse around Israel and its actions at the moment, do you think the Republican Party needs to have a discussion about American support for Israel, albeit a more mature and respectful debate than perhaps what we've been seeing playing out on some social media forums?
00:25Obviously, and I think it's a gross mischaracterization, not only of my argument, but of the actual political reality to suggest that anyone is saying that we must have unquestioned loyalty to the state of Israel.
00:36I mean, the only thing the mainstream media seems to be interested in is talking about questioning people's loyalties to Israel and whether Israel first is America first.
00:45That basically seems to be dominating American politics in the last two years.
00:49I mean, I've been Jewish since the day I was born, and I have yet to meet a single Jew who has unquestioned loyalty to the state of Israel.
00:55In fact, I was in Israel two weeks ago for what's called the World Zionist Congress, along with 700 delegates from all over the world.
01:02And all we did was disagree and debate and yell.
01:05So even when it comes to loyalty to Israel, most Jews have a vastly different definition as to what that actually means.
01:10All I'm suggesting is that the conspiratorial thinking that has animated parts of the far right, people like Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and so on, they do not represent the best interests of the Republican Party.
01:22And while it is true that only 35 percent of the American Jewish community voted for Donald Trump, that is the most votes that any Republican nominee has gotten from the Jewish community since Ronald Reagan.
01:33So they made tremendous inroads. 45 percent of New York Jewry voted for Trump, 40 percent of Ohio Jewry voted for Trump, 40 percent of Pennsylvania Jewry voted for President Trump.
01:43So these small differences in percentages actually make tremendous differences in swing states like Pennsylvania and like states like Arizona, where it really did make a difference.
01:51But again, there's not a single Jew on planet Earth, nor is there a single conservative on planet Earth who will say that you must have unquestionable loyalty to the state of Israel.
01:59To Scott's other point pertaining to how our relationship with Israel is actually harming our interests elsewhere, that's why Israel and Saudi Arabia should be part of the Abraham Accords.
02:09That's why President Trump has been advocating that for months on end.
02:12That would be certainly in the best interest, not only for regional peace, but also for America's interest.
02:17You know, Israel gives the United States military intelligence on a daily basis that vastly outweighs the qualitative military sharing that any other Middle Eastern country gives to the United States.
02:28The Mossad has prevented terrorist attacks, not only on American soil, but really across the world.
02:33Yes, it's true that Israel receives roughly three and a half billion dollars in foreign aid every year.
02:38A, Egypt receives three point two billion dollars and no one really seems to make a big deal about the foreign aid we give to Egypt.
02:43It's sort of unclear what exactly we get in return from Egypt.
02:46But B, all of that money that the United States gives to Israel in foreign aid, Israel must spend in the United States.
02:52So it not only creates jobs in the United States, it actually creates economic revenue.
02:57We make more giving money to Israel because they have to spend it in the United States.
03:01So I'm not really convinced that cutting off relations to Israel is in America's best interest.
03:06I'm happy to hear arguments otherwise.
03:08But the biggest threat to the conservative movement, I truly believe, is what Charlie Kirk constantly spoke out against, which is this victim mentality.
03:15That the reason, and Nick Fontes champions this tremendously, the reason I don't have a steady relationship, the reason I don't have professional success, the reason I can't get ahead in life is something, something the Jews.
03:26That's just a silly, unconvincing argument that very much will alienate a large swath of the American people.
03:32And I encourage the conservative movement to do whatever they can to rid themselves of this cancer.
